Fire on the Roof

This afternoon, Andrew came into the house crying that Fire was on the roof. I went outside and sure enough, there was his stuffed purple dragon sitting on the top of the roof. He had managed to throw it up onto the roof and it landed sitting up, looking down at us from its perch. Our neighbor walked over and seeing the problem, immediately offered to bring over her ladder. She lashed together four long poles with a hook at the end. It was just long enough to catch the dragon and pull him down, safe and sound. Hopefully, Fire won't be flying again.
